I was wondering if those who have or have played Blackface Clarks could share their experiences. I love my Clark tweed, but have had the bug to find out more about his Blackface amps. Thanks!

Hey GTRJohnny,
Clark has tweaked his site, however there are no sound samples or vids for the Black Faces...yet. I'm sure they'll get them up soon; nonetheless from what I've read and heard about Clark's Black Faces.. apparently they're awesome! Not to mention, I don't think you can go wrong when it comes to the Clark quality and detail in his builds. Cheers. CF This post has been edited by Clark Fan: Oct 30 2009, 06:33 PM |

I'm getting my first blackface Clark soon and am very excited. I've never played one but I've read many exciting reviews on the internet. It's a Clark, so it has to be really good! They're very well priced for such a good build.

Hey Gord,
What model are you getting? Please post your thoughts once you've had the chance to play it! CF |

Hello everybody,
My name's Jonas, I've been working for Mike for about 5-6 years now, and just wanted to take this opportunity to jump in and make my presence known. There has been a recent surge in interest in our Blackface style amplifiers. Like our tweeds, these amps have been steadily getting better and better over the years. We've spent a lot of time perfecting our processes and techniques, trimming the cost of production. This along with Mike's unprecedented expertise in tube amp circuitry and component selection make these amps just about the best value in the business. I can't think of anybody who is building anything close to this quality at any price. We're very busy these days, but I'll try to get on here to answer any questions from time to time. Looking forward to becoming an active part of this forum. Thanks for all your support over the years, you guys help make Clark Amplification great. Jonas |
