I received my Rockford Reverb a couple of weeks ago. I ordered it when Clark was running the specials on the Rockford and Kanee. I have to say that I'm extremely happy with my purchase....the amp looked great straight out of the box. It looks like a Deluxe Reverb with regular and vibrato channels each with two inputs.
When I plugged it in, I initially thought the tone was a bit sterile but as I have been playing it and getting used to the controls my first impression has changed. The speaker is a Weber 12F150 (I think a brighter version of a Jensen C12N). I was told that the speaker would sound louder and smoother as I played it and it broke in. The reverb is also great....nice and quiet and definitely adds the right amount of color to the sound. Something I've been playing around with and getting used to is the vibrato/tremolo. I was not familiar with this type of effect since my other amps only had reverb. I'm finding that with the speed controls set for low and the intensity controls set at about medium you get some nice sounds when playing chords. I'm really starting to love this amp and am glad I made the jump to make the purchase. Mr. Clark makes excellent products and think that he is true a master at what he does. Now...If I can only find a Clark Wateree stand alone reverb/tremolo unit or pursuade M. Clark to start making them again? |

Hi Cleenlivin
Congratulations on receiving your new Clark Rockford Reverb. That's a really nice amp, and I think you will enjoy it. How is the speaker break in coming along? Regards, Bob TPN |

I'm thinking abount using a ext cab sometimes and have two questions:
would the amp like to see a 4 or 8 ohm load? is the weber 12f150t speaker 4 or 8 ohms? |

where should I put the ground switch - left or right? Does it "cut" the grounding for use with several amps at the same time without the noise?

Hi Roe
Congratulations on receiving your Rockford Reverb. The amp is 8 ohm, and the Weber 12F150T is an 8 ohm speaker. I will try to find out more for you about the ground switch. Bob TPN |

the ground switch seems to be there for visual purposes only - it's not connected

the amp works very well.
the speaker have a little problem with cone cry, but I hope it goes away when the speaker is more broken in (I've used it over 20 hours so far). on my other webers the cone cry was only a problem when the speaker was new. One double question: how should the amp be biased? How many mA for with tube rectifier and and how many mA with a plug in ss rectifier? |
